Donnie has been licensed and Working in New City,NY for well over 24 years, but you can argue that he's been in hair industry since childhood. His father owned a salon in New York City, his mother still holds her license and even his great grandfather owned and operated a salon on Madison Ave.
Before opening this salon, Donnie has worked in salons in New City,NYC and freelancing nationwide. Clients have been known to fly him all over the U.S.
Educator and consultant for national color lines can also be added to his resume. For now though platform work seems to be on a side burner, so he can concentrate on his salon.
It can also be said that many up and coming stylists and owners alike have been his assistants training under him. EDUCATION is extremely important to him as he frequents seminars and hands on learning endlessly.
Color is Donnie's passion. When not creating in the salon, he spends time putting his talent to canvas. While he may place color first, his clients may argue he excels in complete transformations. This could entail reshaping a cut for their face, add length or volume with extensions or changing a color that doesn't work with their skin tone.
Donnie truly believes that, in this industry, you are nothing without your clientele.That being said accommodating his clients is where he places extreme value.
